All those years ago, when as a twenty three year old you conned me into believing you were older than me, I never dreamt I would be wishing you a happy 73rd birthday but here we are again and I am delighted to be doing just that.
Have a great Birthday Party Brian, we'll be thinking of you and don't you go upsetting your Taliban neighbours. .
Happy Birthday good buddy and if ever we sail together again I'll be the senior of the watch.

Hey Brian, Sorry I'm late with the greetings, they've only just let me out. Hope you had a great time and the local AlQaeda rock groups provided some smooth numbers for the Taliban Lap Dancers, or have I been given some duff info here? Anyway mate, only 73 eh! You're looking good on it,heres to your 74th!

Thank you Gentlemen for those kind Birthday Greetings. I am just happy to be 73, dont feel a day over 72. such a lot of mates never got that far.
Here is what happened on my Birthday, lucky none of you turned up.
What a lousy weekend of weather here
The wind is blowing 65knots, storm force ten, and heavy rain Saturday 21st and today Sunday. It is freezing, I have my central heating on trying to get warm, I got very wet several times trying to salvage the gazebos then gave up. My guests were watching the event with much amusement, through the windows, as I was almost hang gliding with the awnings.
It was my annual big birthday party with 60 guests to be in the garden , I had rigged up two large gazebos, tables and chairs on Friday a hot sunny day.
Saturday, birthday, wakes up to heavy rain and high winds, Guests start to arrive, had to have the party inside. 60 people squashed into my small house. Each new , unused gazebo in turn decided to self destruct, the metal frames were twisted and broke and then collapsed, the awnings were ripped apart, chairs and tables scattered all over. including three that had decided they wanted to go into my neighbours garden.
I just sat on the stairs on my own clutching a bottle of scotch, burbling. It had cost me several hundred pounds to put on, I really was as sick as a pig.
This morning awoke to the house, it was a shambles, hundreds of plates, stale food, cutlery, glasses all over the house, many bottles of expensive wines left open and half full, going flat, It was a disaster. Had to spend all day, with a seriouis hangover,
and the long haired one, cleaning and washing and salvaging the wreckage. Happy Birthday Alehouse. was it worth it.
Glad to see you back in the land of the living Brian cheers.
