Very Happy
I don't know if this is the correct place, but this is to tell everyone that I
am now registered as "longboat". I've been unable to log in to the site with my regular name
all day to-day - even though I've had 5 new passwords given, which I've entered
but have been "welcomed" as a guest. This has been going on for the last couple of weeks,
so I am now registered jn my "hotmail account ",- but I still have my regular e-mail
address for those who know it.

created another "messenger " address and altered my name to "longboat2" -
which was accepted,- and am now ready to carry on - for quite a while without
any more problems, I hope ?, so my thanks for your help Ron and Brian,
- much appreciated.
Cheers

Bob, are you sure you are entering the correct password, you are still registered as Longboat and it appears to be working???
I believe the best password for a ex Merchant Seaman would be his old discharge book number; like an Army number you will never forget that.

The identity you use with Microsoft Messenger is in no way connected to the Sailors' Home they are separate entities and totally independent of each other.

This is to advise everyone that I have reverted back to my original
user name "roccija". This is thanks to Tony's help in eliminating my
past problems. - which, I hope, are gone for good.

Thanks again Tony

Back to normal, at least members now have their preferred username, Jack the Lad certainly looks as though it belongs, much better than Jack the Bowler which is more suited to a cricket score card; it will now be deleted. Very Happy
